Chapter 15: Finally Home for Dinner

Your working day is over. Whether you have a spouse, partner, family, friends to go home to, or are living alone, take a moment before you enter your place of dwelling—or the local pub for a drink, or the gym, or your second job—and just take a moment to reflect before you end that part of your day.

For a brief moment, wherever you are, try to be still. Allow me to help you relax. Be still and become aware of your breathing. Become aware of you. Check your body. Are you tense? Are you uptight? Are you angry? Are you in pain? Are you emotionally drained or hurting? Take that breath, that prahna, that life force, and feel it coming into your body. Make a conscious effort to feel it penetrating every cell of your being, relaxing you, calming you, healing you. You can visualize it as a color, a feeling, a sound—whatever works for you. If you're tense, squeeze every muscle in your body as you breathe in, and as you breathe out, relax—let it all go. If you really need to hang on to your pain, to your tiredness, to your depression, then relish it; enjoy your negativity, your dis-ease. It's yours; you own it and no one can take it away from you except you ... it's yours to hang onto or yours to let go. You have free choice; you are in charge.
