Perhaps this is just another part of the dream. We have to ask ourselves; does my life reflect my beliefs? Am I happy? Am I healthy? Is my life full of joy? Am I loved? Do I love?
The questions continue.
For most it's a lifelong quest that leaves a vacuum, separateness, a longing. a deep hole in your soul. Others may become engaged in other people's beliefs or teachings and are quite comfortable in their chosen community. Some may pursue the search for a savior, a teacher, a guru, a religious leader who makes them feel special, feel chosen. Feeling like they finally belong, they have come home. They have found their tribe—for now.
They believe they know the secret. Their 'god' may be an angry god, a jealous god, a god that accepts you only if you follow all the rules and regulations and jump through various hoops, wear certain clothes, chant certain mantras or stand on one leg during the full moon, etc. Some are drawn to kill and torture others who do not believe the same as they do and others sacrifice their lives and live in denial for their 'god' of choice. Some may take on the 'victim' or 'martyr' role. Some are angry do-gooders simmering quietly in not being 'chosen' or recognized and honored despite all their good works, sacrifices, whatever.
The world is only in the mind of its maker. Do not believe it is outside of yourself. - http://www.weboflove.org/courseinmiracles#sthash.nfs6sc7k.dpuf
